My second book is under construction
I hope to finish my second book in 2011. It is a management book about the Weconomics model. Weconomics is a new organization model for the community economy. Its primarily goal is to change domains into communities and improve our productivity, flexibility and ability to innovate by deploying them smarter. It is based on profile -> connect -> collaborate networks, it uses community software (no boundaries, open source etc.) and is based on what binds us instead of what differs us. But most of all, the model expects different behavior from people and a different mindset. That’s the real challenge.

My first book is published

March 7th 2010 my first book was published: a management novel on the history of the community economy. Titled ‘Elke dag als de zon opkomt’ (NL) it tells the exiting story of Miles and Susan. Susan is doing her Master research within the company of Miles. You travel with them in their search to a different world. A world where companies, banks and government are not self evident anymore.

Consultant
I started my first professional community in 1994 (Dutch Training & Development market) and I advised a lot of organizations on how they could work smarter together in a community. Some organizations I advised: ADP, AEGON, Allseas, Atos Origin, Baan, Deltalloyd, De Lage Landen, De Nederlandsche Bank, Fontys, Gemeente Utrecht, Menzis, Ministerie van Economische Zaken, Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, de NAM, Ohra, Oracle, Prorail, Provincie Utrecht, Rijkswaterstaat, Shell, Start People, Tempo-Team, Technicum, Unique and USG People.

Events
I develop and deliver different kind of events:

Lecture
A lecture is a short (1 -2 hours) introduction in a subject.

• For example:for people that have no or little knowledge about the subject
• as part of a conference
• to discuss an actual theme

Workshop (NL)
A workshop is an introduction and discussion (half a day) about a subject, system or service.

Training
One training takes a day and, in comparison to the workshop, also consists of practicing the service and/or system (for instance to work with the Weconomics infrastructure).

Masterclass (NL)
A Masterclass is normally several days of training with which you can practice the Weconomics model or program, or start a domain of your own (excludinding coaching).

ContactDay (NL)
In an informal way you meet other community partners and you exchange knowledge, experiences and relations.

RoundTable (NL)
With the roundtable you develop in 3 rounds different scenarios on the basis of developments in you domain.
